So, I started up this blog with many intentions, and yet, it went dark. Well, I am here again to bring it light. Today’s light is that of a recap of the past weekend. Squish-Art and Morton’s List joined forces this past weekend at http://www.penguicon.org/ ( A convention in MI) to bring them my first attempt at a public party. A Roman Room party. While I have often hosted themed parties privately, and its a passion of mine, I wanted to see how it would do. I’d say, it did very well. Not Epic level, but high.
So, the lights went down on our party late friday night. The Citizens exhasted, slept. When the world turned, a message was received from the Fates. Rome would live again that very next night. By some amazingly fated move, a different group of people had also decided to host a Roman Event at this con. Only, on a much different scale. This scale was one of Roaming Romans. We were invited by these hosts to join them. And awesome joy and fun was had. Not only did we get to meet amazing people, the public had the mind to think it was all planned. Delightful!
So, I do believe you’ll see more Roman’s coming to a convention near you. With Art and Games!
